Description

I made this top with really cheap fabric from Ikea!I like the pleat detail at the neck, but I think it’s too tight at the waist (even though I eased it out from 12 to 14!)
I added an exposed zip on the back just because I have a top with this and I liked it!
Pattern – Simplicity 2892

    wow, i love bird illustrations the fabric is great , really nice job on the top, the neck looks really good.

    I’m totally going to go look for some of this fabric! I second the vote for slits at the side for some more room across the hips. You might want to consider putting in some darts at the back to get rid of the excess fabric near your waist as well — That would give it more shape and get rid of the wrinkles.

    i like the exposed zipper. gives it a cool deconstructed look!! if the waist feels too tight, try ripping out maybe the last 3 inches of the side seams and finishing them off to have slits on the side?? just a thought.

    Really nice! I bought a couple of metres of this fabric too, but have yet to figure out what to do with it. Your top looks really wearable and fantastic with jeans!
