The skirt basically consists of two rectangles, one for the belt part and one for the skirt part. It has in-seam pockets.
Ikat is a very old method that has been traditionally used in many cultures all over the world. It means that the thread is dyed before it is woven so the pattern comes out looking a bit blurry or pixely (read more here).
I have liked ikat for a long time and couldn’t believe my luck when I came across this in John Lewis for only 6 pounds/m.
