Description
I love this dress! It started with the bodice of a vintage pattern – Simplicity 5954, but I altered it quite considerably.
I tried to line up the pattern in the middle and chose a line that would stand out and draw the eye as the fabric doesn’t actually repeat when cut in that width. I’m SO pleased with how well that centre line matches from the bodice to the skirt.
The extra details around the neckline, hem and button down back really make this dress for me.
Check out my blog post for more details and plenty of photos.

The buttons on the back are inspiring. Great to see how the quilting technique of the bia binding was used on the neckline. Beautiful dress!
