Saw this project floating around the internet and decided to make it for a friend. I used the general dimensions used in the instructions, so it is about 8 feet long.
I will say that the provided instructions are VERY loose – don’t go strictly off of the measurements because they aren’t really intended to give an exact account of how to create your pattern. There was a lot of fudging involved to get my pattern pieces done well. I would especially recommend making the ‘small’ tentacles wider than suggested so that they are easier to turn out.
The fins, eyes, and ‘bottom’ are handsewn on.
~2.5 yards of fleece
~1.5 yards of quilting cotton
5lb box of fiberfill
Scrap felt for the eyes
