It’s the superfun and easy Ida-Maria skirt! I wear it as an everyday-skirt and with some simple altering you’ll end up having a night skirt, or a club skirt, a party skirt, a garden skirt, a shopping skirt, a play skirt, work skirt, commuting skirt, role-play skirt, movie skirt… It’s your choice! Here’s the plain instruction of the basic Ida-Maria. Enjoy!

Wow, this project didn’t work for me at all. I guess when you say “measure your waist” you really mean your hips, or…? Even factoring in an extra inch or two, there was no way that sucker was going to get over my hips once it was all put together.

When you attach the buttons and sew down the rest of it does this stich show up obviously or is it quite subtle?

Have been looking for a pattern for a high waisted skirt for ages and when i saw your skirt i knew that was the one for me! Am going to try it as soon as i can the fabric i want!

Would it look okay if the band (piece “A”) was a different colour to the rest of the skirt (piece “B”)? And would the skirt look okay if it were worn at your hips instead of your waist? But maybe a bit less puffy? Thanks
