This was a fun recycling project! I used only second hand materials to make this clutch – upholstery remnants, lining, button, yarn, thread.
The brocade pattern of the fabric caught my eye in the thrift store, and I immediately knew this was going to make a gorgeous purse or clutch. I used two different coloured brocade remnants for this clutch – one for the body and the other for the giant bow. This reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.
I wanted to make sure this series of clutches is distinct, so one of the main things I changed was the type of fastener used. For this one, I used a vintage button for closure. I think it matches the regal feel of the two fabric remnants used. This is also lined in a lovely golden yellow.
Very pleased with the outcome!
