My first dress! Using the lovely, Coffee Date Dress pattern by elainemay. I would recommend it to a friend. Please see her post of this pattern for further description and details. My only change was adding a small pleat stemming from each dart. I think you can see the 2 front pleats in the close-up photograph of my bodice.
Also, tamalicious16 hosted a very helpful sew along of this dress on her blog. She calls her version the Picnic Date Dress.

Thanks for all the nice comments! And definitely check out the sew along – I couldn’t have figured out the bodice without it. The way you’re supposed to sew the shoulder seams is brilliant, but super confusing on paper.

This is fab, I printed it off ages ago, knew I’d love it so I bought 2 lots of material, I’ve still to make it! I love your material, well done and I’ll check out the sew-a-long, thank you.
