This is more like an ode to my home – which is a little place in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps in Austria (If you are familiar with ‘Sound of Music’ you know what I am talking about). And yes – we do sometimes wear Lederhosen and/or the Dirndl, we like our beer, we occasionally jodel and we dance to polka music (the two latter usually after a few beers…) On one of my trips home I got some fabric from a Dirndl manufacturer. I like the Dirndl fabrics with their big variety of colours and patterns. I decided to use the fabric for sewing the Jonny dress – and it turned out as a chastely version of a Dirndl without the plunging neckline. I really like wearing it – especially here in the Netherlands – it is pretty different to what people wear on the street.
different cottons and the right buttons for a Dirndl :)

This is so cute ! I can’t decide if I like the fabric or the buttons or the quirky picture the best. Really brightened up my afternoon – I want one !
Also, the walking boots look fab with it ;-)
