E Ville, Indiana...
I made this dress in about 4 hours the other night. Had a lot of this burgundy sateen-like fabric laying around and decided to make a dress of it. I can’t get myself to use a pattern lately, I think I just like to improv. folded the fabric two times and used an oversized shirt as a reference point to cut the dress shape with, cut a neck hole and figured the length of the sleeves.. sewed up the sides, hemmed the neckline and sleeves and then the bottom. the dress fits loose without the belt, I think it looks 10x better belted. I just used more of the same fabric and made a tube belt out of it :). it could easily fit several sizes. I think it turned out rather elegant! now I need a reason to get this dressed up!
