I made these Colette Iris shorts in a sewing class a few weeks ago. I am extremely proud of them because they are as close to perfectly constructed as I have ever come with a self-made garment. They were really simple to put together, though I’m glad I had some help with them since I tend to get stuck on waistbands. I only wish I could wear them more often…no shorts in the office! Lame. Anywho, they’re made with some cotton fabric I got at my local fabric store, and the pockets are lined with cotton fabric as well. They have an invisible zipper, which I had never successfully executed before. I learned a lot with this project and I hope to make more in the future!
FYI, the photos in the gold tank top (it doesn’t match, I know, but I was so damn excited about them I didn’t care) are before I hemmed them. They’re just clearer photos because I wasn’t taking them in front of a dusty mirror, haha. The photos with the green tank top are completely finished. Hope you like them!
