I found this floral fabric at the annual Hospice fete about 2 years ago and knew it was a winner – it cost about R5 for a few metres (less than a dollar). When I saw Sibeli’s dress with the contour bust pattern top and the Marie skirt I knew I had to have one, so I made this dress to wear to a wedding a few weeks ago. I put bra cups into the top, but now wish I hadn’t, because I still find I have to wear a strapless bra and think it would fit more snuggly if I didn’t have the cups in – maybe one day I will find the energy to unpick and remove them and take the top in :-) but for now I will just use safety pins to ensure it doesn’t fall down!
