These are my Ruby shorts mock up. This has been my favorite BurdaStyle pattern to make so far. I was intimidated at first but I went slow and was able to figure everything out except the belt part. I just left it off for now until I can figure out how to attatch it. I used a size between 40 for hip measurement and 42 for waist. I altered the angle of the crotch slightly so it lays a bit farther away from the body. I find it more comfortable that way. I was amazed at how well these shorts fit with minimal alterations. They fit like a cozy glove, close fitting but not tight. My mate, he hates this fabric and thinks it is unnattractive and I should get rid of them but would like the shorts in another fabric. Well, I do love this 70’s style vintage linen even if it makes me look like furniture so I don’t know if giving them away is an option. I plan to make many more pairs of these as they are so so comfortable.
This is a great pattern. I encourage anyone who has been considering this pattern to go for it! Thanks BurdaStyle for a wonderful pattern!!
