Description

This is a simple a-line knee length skirt that I made. It has a facing instead of a waistband as I wanted it to fit on the hips rather than the waist. Zipper closure with button and loop, as I don’t really like using hook and eye for closures. :)
Simple. Love it.

Material Notes

This is a light weight corduroy that I got on ebay about 2 years ago. It has been sitting in my stash since then. :) I have no idea how old it is as I have a feeling that it may have been from someone else’s stash. :) Zipper, thread and button. This fabric was nearly going to be a jacket, but I didn’t think I would have enough, and I have heaps of jackets that I don’t wear and I thought it might be too loud for a jacket – so it became a loud skirt instead.

i like it! I have found a jacket can never be too loud after seeing a man wearing a blue and white plaid suit eating at a restaurant after church one Sunday. It wasn’t that it was plaid on a man’s suit that was strange, or the that the colors were blue and white, it was the fact the plaid pattern was about 5×5 inches. It was big, it was loud and it took someone very comfortable with the way they looked to wear it.

I like! Very funky :o) I’m a fan of patterned corduroy, but it’s often difficult to come by.
