Made this pin cushion for a good friend who was heading to London for a sewing internship. She’s a mad seamstress and I thought a novelty love heart pin cushion would remind her of home (& me) while she was gone.
Has cardboard in the base to protect from sticking the pins into your arm. Has an elastic band on base so it can be worn on your arm.
The scraps I used were actually a bit too firm for sticking pins into (yikes!!) so I recommend testing them out before you stuff the pincushion. (I tested after I stuffed it and couldn’t be bothered to change it.
Base: black denim covering sturdy cardboard
Sides: red cotton
Top: unsure what that material was- a little stretchy though, moderate thickness.
Other: Black braided elastic (to secure pincushion to arm) and black embrodiery thread (decorative)
The lines of Greek architecture inspire this neutral and pastel collection.
