I know most people were disappointed by the $7 price tag on the the Wenlan blouse but sometimes the best patterns are expensive. Like this one time I paid $20 for a vintage coat pattern. It was a really good pattern I promise!… anyway.
So when I saw the Wenlan pattern I saw it’s potential
In this variation I used the sleeves from the JJ blouse and omitted the tie collar. Instead I used some ruffling and I also did the same along the bib front, and I put a green button on the back
nice like mice!

Im so glad I came across this project of yours. I just bought a really great fabric and didn’t know what to make of it, and was thinking that this pattern would make a great blouse of that fabric. However, the 8$ price tag turned me off since I felt like I could only make super fancy silk shirts from it, but seeing your project, I now see that it can be “dressed down” into a super cute, not so fancy top.

hey! thats cool. i had this fabric around for ages too and was gonna make another JJ, but i thought it would be cute with this pattern and some ruffles.
sometimes though you have to pay for something nice. a word of advice, the pattern was abit smaller than the normal burda sizes so you might wanna print it at 110% or so.

Oh thanks for the advice. Will keep that in mind when printing it.

It looks really great! The fabric really works and the ruffle adds a lot to the design.

NICE!!! Love the raw edge ruffles as well. I’m scared of using raw edges but I love it when I see it done really nicely like this.
