Even as a child I hated shorts (when my sister and me were forced by our parents to wear ugly beige bermuda shorts with pleats, uugh), which did not change till today.
Unfortunately, even I have to admit that shorts are the best garment to wear for summer hiking trips or bicycle tours, so when I saw the Burdastyle Megan Skorts I thought that the pattern might be a good compromise.
I left the buttons on the waistband and put some buttons on the front piece instead, and for some more comfort on the bike I set in the zipper on the left side, not at the center back. Now the skorts have only one pocket on the right side, but that is enough for me. Although I lengthened the skorts for about two inches (which was the maximum possible), I still think they are really short! Altogether I am quite satisfied with how the skorts came out, though, and they were quick and easy to sew. Perhaps I will make another pair for next year! (Besides, I made a pair of the Ruby Shorts too, which are not so bad ;-) !)
