Sometimes, things happen for a reason. This dress started out with my idea of having a ribbon sewn at the waist and maybe at the neckline too.. I had the ribbon cut and was in line at the fabric store when their cash registers all went buggy.. I had to pick up my kids at school so I had to abandon ship. Ah well.. the next day I was looking at a museum ad for costumes throughout the century and a beautiful dress all tucked up with flowers made me think… hmm.. Lace? Flowers? Little Girls? Oh yes! This morphed then into a custom made frothy flowery confection worthy of the girliest girl. I have donated it to a charity auction which is listed in the link.

I love how designs evolve into completely different creatures sometimes, and in this case it has turned out so sweet! I just want to kidnap my best friend’s 3 year old and show her off in it…
