Description

This is the Zoe dress, but it’s so BLAH! I was soooo disapointed when I finished it! Also, it’s too big even though I made it a size smaller than my measurements called for! (My intuition told me to!) Anyone have any ideas to vamp this up a bit?

It’s cute and well made. Use the big size to your advantage and throw a shirt under it. Wear some loud tights with it. Add a belt. Wear a colorful, long beaded necklace. With the 60’s style shape to it, the dress is designed specifically to be ultra simple. Try making it again with a more lively fabric. Maybe some 60’s inspired citrus colored fabric or something.

You could always add a braided cording to the neckline and it would be simple but still extremely interesting because of the detail.

It is such a simple dress, you could do almost anything to spice it up and it would look amazing no matter what!

Argyle print red high socks (or red cable socks) and that red belt would add what you’re looking for. bet it will make it a fall favorite.

I like it too! I agree that a bright colored belt would look nice, or what about ruffles at the shoulders?

I don’t think it’s bad, as a matter of fact I think it’s pretty well made. What to do to vamp it up? Maybe a bit of embelished band/ribbon/something on the hips or a ruffled bib up front…(you know – like the coffee date dress one). And then it shall be A Zoe with a twist… :)
