I Don't Know Why I made This-I Don't Do The Beach

Description
Bathing Suit made from a McCall’s vintage pattern (8285) from 1966. The pattern was too big and the bust too pointy so I changed the shape to suit my frame better. I also gathered the front at the center and added some decorative buttons. I added a small pocket to the bottoms as well. I made this in the winter for Sew Weekly’s “Down Under” challenge and have only worn it once. I am so not an outdoorsy person!
Material Notes
I used lightweight stretch denim and lined it with spandex in a metallic leopard print. The buttons have anchors on them.

Fantastic! I agree with Pambox – you need to go to the beach and show this off!

Thank you! Maybe I’ll wear it more than once next summer. I’m sure it will still fit.

It looks fantastic – I think you need to become a beach (or pool) person, because you can’t let a great-fitting suit go to waste!

I live right near a beach and often see the college girls wearing their suits with t’s on to go shopping. Maybe if I;m braver next summer I’ll go shopping in it with a t over it….Probably not.
