My third dress from the book I am Cute Dresses by Sato Watanabe.
This dress was super easy to put together – essentially giant rectangles and 2 very long straight lines.
I added side seam pockets because I know myself too well: when deciding what to wear, I’ll always gravitate toward something with pockets.
I chose this simple pattern because my fabric has a super busy print and I didn’t want to do anything to make it even busier. This pattern was perfect as the middle sections are just giant rectangles so the pattern gets to shine on its own. To tone it down I used a plain maroon contrast for the sides.
