i don’t like to gloat.
yes i do.
I LOVE THIS DRESS!!!!
it’s made of home dec fabric found at a southern joann’s. i used the reverse side. a customer saw me bring it to the cutting table and fell in love with it. she’d only sewn for children at that point (EGADS) and curiously wondered what she’d do with it. “you’d make a skirt”, i said, “and it would be glorious and your husband would take you out on the town the minute you put it on.”
i think she bought a couple yards. i really hope she did.

simplicity 2444, of the project runway line… i’ll add that to the notes now, can’t believe i forgot! it’s a great line, terrificly drafted and you have so many options within the pattern itself.

I love that pattern – I’ve used it myself once, plan to use it more, it really is just great, vintage feel but not too fussy. And the diagonal bust darts and pleats! So much more fun than normal ones.
