i have had this pattern & fabric for years…yes, years! something always got in the way of them coming together as one though, so some time at home alone while hubby travels for work & time to just focus on me i finally forced this pattern & this fabric to meet & now they are happily in love :-)
the pattern is new look 6648, version with kimono-style sleeve. it went together in a matter of hours. its the easiest thing i think ive ever sewn together – no jokes. & i waited years, what was i thinking!! the boat neck is wide & it does tend to fall off the shoulder, but thats what i wanted, coz thats the way i roll dearhearts.
fabric is a single knit blue (almost purple) with a burn-out paisley pattern. its soft & incredibly comfortable. i bought this at the waste centre about 5 yrs ago in durban, south africa.
