These jeans were made using the Burda Magazine pattern #106 from the August 2009 issue. However seeing Sunni’s pair of Bella’s on her blog a few weeks ago, just after making my toile, and thankfully before cutting these out inspired me.
So I made a few modificationsto the pattern and the end result is almost a hybrid of the two.
I am pretty pleased with the final garment, and have intentions of using the pattern again, essentially in its original form plus the heightened waistline at the back.

I love them! And you managed to pull them off! I am working on pants at the moment, and it’s HELL! Any tip?

Oh gosh, I must admit I do tend to struggle with pants patterns myself.
They never seems to fit for my figure type )hourglass with heavy sway back) well without a hundred modifications. I have found Burda pants patterns to be the best for me as they seem to fit best straight out of the packet without too many modifications. My only advice would be to find out which pattern company works best for your figure type and start from there.
But persevere, because once you do find ‘the one’ it makes the who process very enjoyable!

You couldn’t of paired a better blouse with your new jeans. Makes me think of Katharine Hepburn in the 40’s. Love this look.

Thank you, the magical forest is actually my back yard.. I live on 10 acres of native bush, and this particular spot is just along side the path to my studio.
I had intended on taking photos on a more urban backdrop, but then I popped out the the studio and the afternoon light was hitting the tree so beautifully I decided on a change of plans.
