I found this charming fabric at the Needle Shop in Chicago. It is a lovely and fantastically lightweight cotton. I was looking for fabric to use for a Maxi dress. Something to kick off the summer. I based the dress design off of the Urban Midnight Dress available at Modcloth.com. Rather than making a halter back, I went with a more subdued quasi racerback – with the ties pulled through to create a bow.
