Reggio Emilia, I...
I bought a german dirndl in a vintage street market in Bologna, it was very very very cheap. The intention was making another version of my chekked blouse, but an old idea came back to my mind: the shoulder buttons in toddler style: i always wondered how i could do that, and this was the right moment to experiment. I used a simplcity vintage pattern for the basic bodice, made it larger on the hips, added the yoke and a stripe on the back shoulder, so i could button it on the front. I left only one opening on the right shoulder, the other one is sewed. Hope you like it!
here you can find the pattern, it’s simplicity 4116:
