Here is a sling called ‘Hubabub’ which I’ve made for Coniah from a pattern I found online. It’s basically one long piece of fabric tied in a way which supports you and your baby. There are other positions you can try with it e.g. the breastfeeding and front position but I haven’t managed to try all of these out yet. This is a good sling for multi-tasking while holding the baby or for short outings.

A great practical thing (especially, since I know how much it costs when you buy it! – it always made me laugh! :-)) And you two look sooooo cute!!!!!!

Thanks for the comments everyone – yes Coniah is a she- we chose a name that we could use for both a girl and boy! (makes things easy that way!). This sling is really easy to make and if you have a serger then it’s even easier! the link for where I got it from is: http://figur8.net/baby/2008/01/21/making-your-own-baby-carrier/ enjoy! bxx

Oh, you two are just adorable! :) The sling seems really comfortable. You probably used medium weight jersey, didn’t you?

Thanks Evening Star! Yes I did use medium weight. If you use thick jersey it becomes too hot because of all of the tying so light to medium jersey works well.

Yours is nice and it looks like baby Coniah is comfy. I made one for my baby just about a year ago and needless to say it is a jersey pillow case. I just couldn’t get that thing to be my friend for the life of me!
