How to make pretty ‘curled’ petal flowers out of polyester(?) fabrics.
I’m not at all experienced with non-everyday types of fabric but this was done with ‘lining’ fabric (like for special occasion dresses). Don’t use anything with natural fibers because they will just burn instead of curl!
I first started making these years ago, because I wanted pretty hair pieces for a fairy costume. They are fairly easy to make, but a bit time consuming depending on your method of execution. I cut circles for my layers but I’ve seen it done with squares. So experiment!
• Artificials like polyester
• Candle or lighter to singe fabric
• Needle & thread/glue to attach layers of flower
• Beads or whatever else for embellishments!
