A. Follow steps 1-4 in the Amanda Pattern directions.
B. In Step 4 change the cutting position for the_ neckline band pattern_ and the_ bias strip for arm hole pattern_. Because you are working with a knit fabric these no longer need to be cut on the bias. For the Neckline band you will first need to add some extra length to your pattern. Do this by measuring the stitch line for the neck band on the shirt front and back patterns. Divide this number in half. Check the measurement to the length of the neckline band pattern_. Add the difference needed to the neckline band_ . I added an extra 5” to the band for a size 50 pattern. You can now cut this piece the length of your knit fabric on the grain. Next you will change the bias strip for the arm hole to be cut the width of the fabric on the grain. Make sure you cut this piece so that the knit stretches the length of the pattern.
