Create your own fabric necklace from of an old blouse and help keep it from the landfills. It’s lovely and easy to do! This neck piece is a cascade of rosettes of varying sizes, hence its name. It’s made from a velvet blouse I bought at a thrift store long ago. It not only utilizes the blouse’s fabric to make the rosettes, the collar is also an integral part of the neck piece.
You will need an old button-down shirt or blouse. I recommend one with a collar because that’s where you’re going to sew your rosettes on. It doesn’t have to be velvet. Cotton and other fabric is fine. The character of your neck cascade will depend highly depend on which fabric you choose. Other materials are scissors, needle and thread, and felt.
