Description

I have been dyeing to make some Harem pants since I learned how to sew three years ago…..These pants are hot in Paris and the Uk. This pattern is great for beginners, very easy to sew, b different. This diagram will help you draft the pattern. If you need help write me on my wall.{the look in the pictures just add gathers for that look}

Diagram #1 tells you how to draft the pattern according to your measurments

Diagram #2 shows you the first few sewing steps

Diagram #3 shows you to finish it all up

    Thank you so much for posting this!!! All the other patterns out there have too poofy of legs, and don’t account for tapering to the ankle. Once I have time, I’ll be sure to try this out! What type of fabric do you recommend?

    I’m really new to this after drafting the patterns do I still have to put on seam allowances (of course except on the CF)? Thanks, well I probably would.

    You need to specify that the picture of the girl with the black harem pants aren’t from this pattern. There’s a lot of fabric and pleating missing to get that look, plus there’s an obvious tie at the front that’s missing from your pattern.

      Its not that serious (ITS OBVIOUS THAT GIRL WITH THE GATHERS IS NOT BASE ON THIS PATTERN) BUT YOU STILL USE THIS METHOD TO GET THAT RESULTS AND A TIE IS ALSO EASY AS WELL (YOU DONT NEED A PATTERN FOR A TIE) ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS PLEASE KEEP TO YOUR SELFTHE BURDA STYLE COMMUNITY LOVE THE PATTERN..
      THANKS,
      : )

    How much fabric do you need if you want gathers? and Where do you add the gathers? On the outsides or on the inside seam?

      Thanks i did make those , but you can buy some elastic and put them on the sides of the pants or where you want the gathers to be located

    Thanks a lot for this pattern. I’m a beginner but I plan on making a pair for my best friend, the zipper idea is fantastic as well. Wish me luck!

      try it on a test fabric first, amd see how it works so I wont make the pattern so big if you are adding a zipper to the garment. and you welcome. Go for a cool look with the sipper.happy sewing : )
