Sydney Again., A...
This top started off as a basic stretch long sleeved top, but it looked a little baggy around the shoulder area so I hacked it off from the shoulders down and it was a little sloppy and didn’t think it would stay up after adding the heavy ruffle. It was very very close to being trashed.
I persued with it and put the ruffle on and I have to say I am very happy with it.
I can’t brag enough about this fabric though, I have 3 previous tops made from this. It’s a viscose spandex stretch called Orbit and it washed brilliantly and doesn’t stretch out of shape.
Luckily Tessuti’s have heaps of colours in stock. I’ll be grabbing lots more.
This embroidered silk started off as a bustier dress (my boobs were too small) and I had a bit left over to still make a skirt so did so. Very basic pleats but I’ll wear it alot.
Thanks to my 5 year old for taking the photos , he took around 300 to get these!
