Spring-weight skirt with a fun yellow overlay piece. My own pattern work – this is a sample.
My only qualm with the pattern design on this one is the back piece. In theory, I thought it would look good since the front has the two-tone quality so I wanted to make the back symmetrical. In all actuality, next time I should just skip the back overlay altogether. I think it would look much better.
But it’s cute! I made the covered buttons as well. This was also my first pattern designing and using a center back kick pleat.
