Nothing exciting here – just a garment I have been meaning to make for years. So after finding inspiration on burdastyle this morning, I jumped straight in.
Nothing says ’I’m home’ and ‘Relax’ for me more than to change into my house dress and my slippers when I get home from work. What is my house dress? It is a very cheap sleeveless, shapeless dress that I bought from a sale rack about 10 years ago. I am literally flogging this dress to pieces as I wear it around the house all the time. So this morning, I made a quickie pattern from it and got to work.
It is not technically perfect, but what it IS is a finished started project (if you know what I mean), AND a second house dress to wear in. :-)
Made from a bundle of blue crinkle fabric I bought from Vinnies for $6, AND there is still 4m left !!!
