Battle Creek, Un...
This is my completed peplum shawl collared cardigan. Pattern is McCalls 6844 with the Hi-Lo hemline. It’s really comfortable and warm. The fabric is a heavy and stable knit polyester I bought in September at the American Sewing Expo when it came to Novi, MI. It’s hard to see the details of the fabric, but it’s made of tiny black and grey hounds-tooth with a flocked texture for the bigger black hounds tooth pattern. Alterations: 1 inch forward shoulder, 5/8 narrow shoulder and I scooped out about 1/2 inch from the front armscye. The fit is a little slouchier than I was hoping for, mostly because I’ve been losing weight all winter, but it’s still cute with jeans.
