Hot Pink Princess Seams

Added Jan 13, 2013

Elmira Heights, ...

My second skirt with this pattern. I had a lot of fun with this. I used a zigzag stitch in orange thread to neaten up the seams and found a matching orange zipper. Interestingly enough, when I was making this skirt, I just happened to find a Threads magazine with an article on how to sew an exposed zipper…

It’s a bit shorter than my last pencil skirt but I’m very happy with it and will probably continue to experiment with this pattern.

note: for whatever reason, I had a lot of trouble getting crisp photos of this, but hopefully you can still see some of the details

Material Notes

mystery pink fabric

      I don’t mind: 25" waist and 34" hips.

Nice? What size are you? Your proportions look similar to mine and I wanted to ask you how you got a good fit

Well from the smallest size, I took in the two side seams. Unfortunately, I don’t have my pattern with me and can’t tell you exactly how much. Maybe around 1/2" on both sides? I hope that helps!

That’s why the princess seams are so great: easy to take in. :)
