I finally made a dress for my beautiful mom. I had been thinking about doing that for a long time but had never gotten round to it…’till now. The weather is still not warm here in the north, so hot mama is a very cold mama in the pictures!
The pattern is from an old KnipMode" – March 2009, model 9. It is a simple shift dress, made of a cotton/linen fabric with a relief. The fabric was not easy to work with and not 100% percent suited for the dress, but I only found that out after starting the project.
I changed the side zipper to go all the way up to the armhole (in the original pattern it is inserted in the middle of the side seam) to make getting in and out of the dress easier.
The dress is fully lined.
55% cotton/45% linen for the dress, 100% viscose for the lining, both from A.Boeken in Amsterdam.
