This project was supposed to be my first post here after the registration. I made it in the end of last summer and also took the pictures about that time. But then on some unknown reason I postponed my activity on this site for several months. So about a year passed and the time to wear the suit came back:)
Well, the set consists of a long wide skirt and a vest. Both of items are very comfortable and by the patterns remind jeans clothes and have all their attributes including double top stitches. When I was sewing it, I really thought about those romantic cowboys films (what a shame of me :$) But as I live in the South of Ukraine I substituted Wild West for Hot South:)
Both the skirt and the vest are from the same old Burda issue: the skirt – 3/2002, #121
and the vest 3/2002, #120.
The blouse is not new – made long ago from Burda 9/2005, #120.
Heavy linen for the suit. It seems to me the fabric has some other fiber because it is really heavy and good for chilly autumn or spring days not for summer but according to the noble wrinkles on these clothes that unknown fiber is natural, too:)
The blend of cotton, viscose and some synthetic for the shirt.
