I made this blouse out of a cotton voile by Anna Maria Horner (I am SO excited about this!) and another Built by Wendy Simplicity pattern. It was a super simple 3 pattern piece top and I whipped it up in no time. It’s nice and cool for summer but I can’t wait to layer things underneath it for winter.

This came out so nicely. I’d love to sew with the Anna Maria Horner voile sometime!

I love this! I’ve tried making 3835 as well but have had some trouble with the fit. Did you have to make any modifications to the pattern? Originally I went down a size because the muslin was huge, but find it hard to fit the arms and upper back as they tend to be a little tight.
Your version looks great! I love the fabric!

I made the size 8 because it was the correct bust size on the pattern, but next time I make it I will definitely make it a size larger. It’s a wee bit too tight in the underarm. I have found the sizes are a little weird with most of these Built by Wendy patterns.

Thanks Hannah – that’s what I found as well with the underarms. I’m thinking of modding the pattern. I do like the style of the shirt and it is so easy to make!

It’s really cute :) I looked a lot for a simple pattern of a nice shirt… maybe I’ll try this one :D

You definitely should. The pattern was worded strangely, so I wouldn’t make it unless you have a decent amount of background in sewing. Also, as I was talking about with marvage (above) the sizing is weird so altering the pattern might be necessary.
