Whipped this up this morning for fun. I loved this mustard color but thought it would be a bit overwhelming for my pale skin tone lol. so I did a lace overlay and made the overlay about 5" shorter than the skirt hem. Im very pleased with how it turned out and the pattern was so quick and easy (just took a long time to print and tape together)
Yes there is no hem in the pictures but the skirt is now hemmed as I was just trying to put this together in time to enter it for the competition.

I got the mustard Chiffon from a thrift store for $2 and the lace for $1.50 I used a zipper from a skirt I previously tore apart so This only really cost me $3.50 to make... not bad if I do say so myself.

I love this color, he lace was a great idea, and the eggplant stockings compliment it perfectly. A+

Oh, yeah! Go lacy overlays!! :) I love the black on yellow. I love yellow, but I look terrible in it usually, so maybe with a lacy black overlay? …something to think about!
