A variation on the Lindsey Cape. I added a lined hood for rainy/windy days and put it to use right away! I got the pattern for the hood from another Japanese sewing book, and inserted it along with the collar onto the neckline.
I really like the double knit wool, it is sturdier yet still has the drape for the cape. And the lining material was leftover from another project, which works really well with the color of the cape. It is soft and comfortable.
As for the pattern, Burda pattern is always not very clear cut for me, so I half winged it.
All in all, it was an one-day project, and I am loving the cape.

Mary, this is so cute! Good job. I love the color. And I am super jealous of you who can put together a jacket. I love this piece so much! <3

a wonderful cape!!! (I would like to sew this cape but I fear that I don’t can sew the “armholes” and the result looks terrible!)

Great job on a project with such poor pattern reviews, I love the colour you chose, it should cheer you up just putting it on during a blah day.
