I’m trying to clean out my massive fabric stash, and had a ton of this grape-coloured brocade so…. voila! I used Burda pattern #2484, but I changed the zipper to a lace up back.
Brocade fabric, black lace, plastic boning, bridal loops, ribbon, thread.

Wow! I know working with all that heavy material can be work! I made a gorgeous midnight blue cloak this year for a friend. The effect is so extravagant! I’ll have to check out that pattern.

That cloak sounds beautiful! I will definitely be using this pattern again – it was relatively simple, and I love the hood! Thanks for your comment. :)

What an absolutely stunning gown! The lace trim is perfect, not overdone.

Thanks! It’s probably just as well that I ran out of lace, otherwise it may have ended up being overdone. lol
