I really wanted a retro style bikini but couldn’t find one that would fit my budget- so I set on making my own!

    Great! Did you use a serger, and was it difficult with that sort of fabric? I also like your photo!

      Thanks for leaving a comment! I haven’t got a serger and the top was done with my old sewing machine when it was on its last leg so I had a bit of trouble. It was a bit tricky, but once you get the hang of it it’s not too bad (and make sure you use a ballpoint needle!!). If you have a failry recent sewing machine- as I do now- then it shouldn’t give you any problem at all.

      Good to know, thanks! I don’t have a serger, either, and I really would like to make a vintage style bathing suit, too, but then I get discouraged by doubting if my sewing maching would do the job… So your project gave me new motivation!
