You only have to cut 2 tiny slits in the fabric for the prongs of the magnetic snaps to go through. And then you can place a square of strong fabric (also with slits) at the back to strengthen it.

I have a thing with magnetic snaps. When ever I go to buy one, they tell me at the store that the fabric has to be really strong or I need to use leather and I would have to make holes to the fabric and I deside It would be a mistake using a magnetic snap …so I choose something else.
Are they talking about the wrong kind of snap?
As for the clips, I really want security with my purses and I wish bag patterns had an easy way of adding zips, without messing their beautiful look.
