I got this dress at a thrift store for $20 and wore it to my school’s homecoming. I decided after summer break started that I wanted to make it a new dress. I wanted to ruche the sides but then had to alter my original idea because the zipper was on the side and went pretty far down along the skirt. So I ruched it to be an asymmetrical skirt. The top had straps that I cut off to make the dress strapless. I can’t wait to wear this to a dance! It twirls so nicely :D
Not sure but it feels like satin

Cute……………… did you added linning inside?…. if you done that would be more perfect cuz you can get the volume of the skirt on the bottom…..

The dress was already lined and had tulle underneath the skirt to give it more volume. I cut off some of the tulle on the bottom because It showed through and didn’t look good.
