Description

Since my days of high school dances are behind me, it only seemed right to carry on the tradition of making formal dresses for my little sister. I put this together pretty quickly- about three weeks from start to finish (which doesn’t sound too impressive, but I have a ton of homework, plus two jobs!). I used Simplicity 2178 but made several alterations to the pattern. I love how the dress turned out, and I think my little sister liked it too; isn’t she a cutie?!

I love the braided details, the half-sheer bottom, your sister’s whole look in the dress, everything about it! And I can’t help but admire that rolled hem on the bottom of the dress. Chiffon is crazy difficult to hem in a tidy way!

It’s really pretty, I like the waist details and your sister looks beautiful! :)
