I was walking down the street one day to work and had a vision of how I wanted to looked for a holiday party I was going to. The ideas was to create a cool, sleek and modern leather holster (inspired by detectives) that could be used for casual wear (with a V-neck T-shirt) and/or formal evening wear (with classic white button down shirt). I’ve never created a pattern before, but was very ambitious. So I used a shirt I had sewed before as a template drew directly on trash paper (which is transparent) to create the design. Initially, I wanted a strap to go across my chest, but I thought it could be a bit much, so I eliminated it.
