Holland Lagos Blouse

The Office, Main...

Usually I’m a bit afraid of prints, but in this case the decision was easy. I used a vintage Butterick pattern – I omitted the front darts and lowered the neckline slighly, otherwise it fit pretty well as it is. The rest of the material is waiting to become a dress – the african fabrics that are sold around where i live come in fixed lenghts, 6 yards, so plenty to go…

Material Notes

Printed cotton – from Afrique Fabriks in Dalston, where all sewing folks in London should buy something at least once because it’s just that fantastic.

The fabric is fantastic, it fits the blouse pattern and I love the way you have worked with the border in the neckband.
