A co-worker found out I like to sew, and asked if I could do a special project for her: take her young son’s old onesies, shirts, socks, and hats and patch them into a skirt. It took a long time (for various reasons) but the end result was great, and she LOVES it! (Especially now that she has another on the way!) (Since she is currently pregnant, I lined the top edge with elastic, just in case, and also put in a drawstring so she can wear it again.)
red jersey material, and many onesies/shirts/hats/socks etc. cut into squares.
My grandmother, for creating a “hobo” skirt in the first place.
