When I saw this cape on Burda 10/2011 cover I knew this was the cape i was waiting for…
I wanted a khaki cape for quite some time, just hadn’t found the perfect pattern yet.
My boyfriend named it, because when he saw me making it the colour could only make him think of Lord of The rings and also because I am not that tall :P

this is very cute, and I love the colour and admire the patience- the lining must have taken a lot of effort as it looks fabulously professional. Did you make the hood from the pattern too, or you changed it? I have the issue and I’d really like to make one but I prefer more spiky hoods so may need to find one to fit the shape

Thank you! Was an effort like all lining is but since it is a sturdy jersey it was less trouble.
I made the hood exactly from the pattern… I was not very pleased at first, it is a little funny. But it actually looks best loosed down than most hoods… I guess since i might wear it down most of the time it is better that it looks better that way. And when i put it up, in the rain; i dont really care how it may look, just that it protects me ;)
