self drawn pattern inspired on a pair of pants from the 1830’s which I saw in a pattern book for historical costumes and uniforms published by Mller&Sohn. I used this 30 years old tweed which I have found in my mother’s storage. I love the fabric!!! It was a lot of handsewing: the haircanvas interfacing, all biasbands(about 15m) and the button holes….. A lot of things went wrong this time but in the end it was all the work worth. I can wear this pants also with suspenders. I still have frabric left. I will make another waistcoat from it, a regular one.
but it was all the work worth.

fish-tail trousers…… just great! Just by seeing the little preview foto, I was shure, that this was something from you… because I know the fabric… haven’t you made anything else out of it? A waistcoat?

you are right, I made an asymetric waistcoat of it last summer. I still have some fabric left so I will make another waistcoat of it, a regular one.
